Abdi-Fatah joined Variable Academy shortly after its formation in 2023 and brings a deep connection to the downtown east Toronto community, where he was raised. Abdi-Fatah plays a key role in the planning, design, and delivery of all programming under Variable Academy. He leads youth outreach, coordinates program logistics, supports the development of curriculum for tech and athletic initiatives, and provides direct mentorship to participants. He is also involved in decision-making and community engagement efforts.

Having lived through Toronto Downtown East's revitalization, he carries first-hand knowledge of the challenges faced by Black youth navigating systemic barriers, community violence, and a lack of opportunity.
